If you are a fan of the Prince of Persia gaming title, we have good news for you. Ubisoft, the company behind the game, after years of silence, has officially announced that its Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is set to launch before March 31, 2026. This comes after the company’s latest earnings report outlining the expected key titles fiscal year 2025-2026.
For the unversed, the game was scheduled to make its debut in January but has faced a massive three-year delay, a full studio transfer, and reports of a complete reboot. Earlier, the game was under development with Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai but later shifted to Ubisoft Montréal in 2022. This change sparked rumours that the remake may have lost the involvement of original voice actor Yuri Lowenthal and series creator Jordan Mechner, who were earlier attached to the project. However, Ubisoft is yet to confirm whether Lowenthal, known for his memorable performance as the Prince, or Mechner’s original script will still be featured in the final release.
Interestingly, no gameplay or footage of the game has been revealed at the moment. Till then, the game remains in the much-anticipated games in the list which also includes the Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Anno 117: Pax Romana, Rainbow Six Mobile, Siege X, and The Division Resurgence.
On the other hand, the fans are hoping that even after the creative changes, the delay will bring a positive and polished gaming experience. The game, first released in 2023, was praised for its narrative depth, atmospheric soundtrack, and innovative time-rewinding mechanic, making it a perfect action-adventure game.
Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has also confirmed the GTA 6 release date. The game is set to make its way to gaming consoles on May 26, 2026. It is said to bring enhanced gameplay with bigger maps, new characters, better storyline, and even better features.
