WhatsApp iPad
After long-standing user demand, WhatsApp has finally released a dedicated application for iPad users, allowing them to use the messaging and calling features on tablet devices. iPad users can now use Meta’s instant messaging platform to make video and audio calls with up to 32 participants, as well as screen sharing and the use of both front and rear cameras. The social media giant intends to provide communication with existing WhatsApp contacts via a larger interface.
Additionally, the application also supports the iPadOS multitasking features including the Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over, allowing users to use WhatsApp alongside other applications. The new application is also compatible with accessories like Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard, making it a more oragnised experience for those who prefer iPad for communication during their productive hours.

“We’ve made WhatsApp for iPad ideal for multitasking so you can get more done. Take advantage of iPadOS multitasking features such as Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over to view multiple apps at once, so you can send messages while browsing the web, or research options for a group trip while on a call together. WhatsApp also works with your Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil,” the company stated in the press release.
Furthermore, the app supports WhatsApp’s multi-device feature, which eliminates the need for a continuous connection to the primary device and keeps all of your chats, data, and media synchronised across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Users will also be able to protect their chats and preserve their privacy by using chat locks.
Apple iPad users can now download the app from the App Store. In the upcoming weeks, the company has also promised to add more features with its upcoming updates. The company hasn’t yet disclosed the precise release schedule or feature set, though.
